Role
The Sales Prospecting Agent identifies the right contacts, generates interest, and paves the way for business opportunities. The Business Development Manager is the first point of contact between ABGi and its prospective clients. They play a key role in the firm’s business development.
Day-to-day role
Working closely with the Business Development Engineers team, the Business Development Manager develops a rigorous and targeted prospecting strategy. They compile prospecting lists, map out accounts (organisational charts, decision-making processes, potential, etc.) and update data in the CRM.
Their objective is clear: to secure qualified meetings with decision-makers. To achieve this, they draw on their interpersonal and sales skills, whilst developing a thorough understanding of the consultancy services offered (CIR/CII, grants, ESG, project management, etc.).
What next?
The role of Business Development Manager can serve as a real springboard to Business Development Engineer positions, with a gradual increase in responsibility for managing and developing a client portfolio.
