ABGi reaffirms its commitment to Mélina Robert-Michon

As the 2026 European Athletics Championships approach, ABGi is proud to announce the renewal of its support for Mélina Robert-Michon, one of France’s leading discus throwers, through the patronage program of the French Sports Foundation (Fondation du Sport Français).

An outstanding sporting career

For more than 25 years, Mélina Robert-Michon has competed at the highest level, representing France in the world’s most prestigious international competitions. A true reference in discus throwing, she is one of France’s most decorated female athletes, with 24 French outdoor national titles (43 national titles in total), 9 World Championship finals, and 25 consecutive selections to the French national team, a record she shares with Alain Mimoun.

In 2024, she also had the honour of serving as the French delegation’s flag bearer at the Paris Olympic Games, a distinction that reflects her dedication and exceptional sporting achievements.

Today, Mélina is focused on qualifying for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with the ambition of competing in a record-breaking eighth Olympic Games – a national record across all sports. The upcoming European Athletics Championships in August will mark an important step towards that goal.

At the French Elite Championships, held on 24 and 25 July, Mélina secured second place in the discus event. True to the perseverance that has defined her career, she continues her preparation for the international competitions ahead.

Standing alongside an exceptional athlete

Based in Lyon, France, Mélina Robert-Michon continues to pursue her ambitions with the same determination that has guided her throughout her career: the constant pursuit of excellence and self-improvement.

Through this sponsorship, supported by the French Sports Foundation, ABGi and all its employees are proud to support an athlete who embodies strong values and contributes to promoting French sport on the international stage.

« Renewing our support for Mélina Robert-Michon means reaffirming our belief that sporting performance and business success are built on the same foundations: a commitment to high standards and excellence over time, as well as the ability to reinvent oneself year after year. ABGi is proud to continue supporting her outstanding journey. »
