Road freight transport is a key issue in France’s climate transition. Heavily reliant on diesel, this sector is responsible for approximately 27 MtCO₂e per year, or nearly 7.4% of national emissions.
On a large scale, the reality of our world will be shaped by the growing number of mouths to feed, which is set to exceed 9 billion by 2050 (according to the UN). To identify potential avenues to explore, prospective studies have been conducted based on current data and trends.
